General Talk / Public comment on new Kayak options in the Liberty Island area
« on: August 25, 2023, 04:01:34 PM »
Hi all,
We have a couple places we can make a public comment to encourage recreational access in the Cache Slough/Libery Island area:
The first is a comment period on the Cache Slough Public Access Recreation Action Plan. This is the final Recreation Action plan recommendation for the entire Cache Slough area. We want to encourage them to build a boat ramp to the north of Little Egbert. It is one of the only options that was not deemed "unfeasible", so we want to make it clear that it would be very appreciated.
Public comment period ends Sept 13, so we have a few days to decide comments. All Comments are asked to be posted on a Google sheets post. Please see the below email to get all details and the study is attached.
We also have the opportunity to review the recreational options being proposed in Little Egbert in a zoom meeting. The recreational meeting will be on Sept 26th. See email below for the meeting invite. Since there will be options for feedback it would be great if we could get some BHA members to join the call and give input. If you are interested in the other meetings (Overview, Agriculture, Flood, Habitat) let me know and I will post those meetings as well.
