Hi All,

Just tried to respond to PM's. I was traveling over the weekend and Taptalk will not let me reply to PMs for some reason.

Rob - Rangefinder is yours just let me know if you want me to hand off to someone in Napa or I can meet up somewhere.
Widgen - Cast net is yours. Just let me know the best way to get it to you.

Hi Widgen it’s yours. Let me know if you are going to be in the Napa area to pickup or I can get a quote to ship.

Hi all,

Sorry, my mistake. On 2nd thought I think the braid on these is 65LB which I believe is equivalent to 15LB.

I am having trouble reading PMÂ’s on Tapatalk. If you are interested in anything might be best to text or email direct (707) 322-8666 or PRO 953@hotmail.com.

Will try and log in from my laptop shortly to reply to everyone.

Sure thing. It’s yours. Will you be up this way sometime or do you want to pay for shipping?

Going through a early spring cleaning and have a few things that are not being put to use anymore. Local pickup I the Napa area would be ideal but shipping could be arranged as well.

Okuma T40X TXC922M - salmon/steelhead drift rod. -  80.00 OBO

Scheels Linecounter reels with 65LB power pro. If I recall these are Okumas that were re-packaged for Scheels 40.00 OBO / 70 set.

Ahi 6ft cast net - never opened. 40.00 - SPF

Scotty rod holder Never Opened - Sold

Scotty downrigger release - new - 5.00

Leopold Rx600 Rangefinder. Has miles on it but still works great. Replaced battery during 2017 hunting season- 90.00

Bushnell sport 850 (like new purchased as a backup that lived in my bow case)- 100.00

General Talk / Re: Kids backpacking trip recommendations.
« on: September 26, 2016, 08:16:05 AM »
Sorry I never updated this thread. We ended up sticking with our original
plan and have the other spots mentioned on the calendar for next year, just want a little more time to research them.

The trip went great. Stopped in Truckee on the way up for a bite and beer before we hit the "backcountry"

As for the hike, it had a few mild hills to add a bit of challenge for the kids without being hard. We were the only ones camping as well.

The only challenge was the mosquitos we're thick!

Had a great time and we are looking forward to a late spring trip next year.

For some uses I get the small bottles but why don't most of you just run a 5 gallon tank with a distribution tree. You can run stoves and lanterns galore without having to deal with all of the hassles of filling 1 gal containers.

Thanks everyone for all of the recommendations. we are going out next weekend so I will try and send back some sort of trip report. I plan on strapping my rod to the pack but backpacking with two 5 year olds it will likely not get a ton of use. If we have any luck I will report in.

Wish I was a more active poster here but I only get out on the yak once a month or so with occasional success.

Such a great community of people though. I asked on one other fishing site and did not get a single reply.

General Talk / Kids backpacking trip recommendations.
« on: May 28, 2016, 06:30:36 PM »
Hi All,

My friend and I are looking to take our two six year old boys on a first "backpacking" trip. I would like to hit a lake or two if possible and was thinking of the lakes basin area near gold lake. Hike into Smith lake on night one them grass lake on day two. It seems like a short hike but i have not done it before. Anyone else have experience with this route?

If not l, any recommendations for a trip that might work with somewhat kid friendly conditions.

Thanks in advance.

Phil

Nothing free on the lake that I know of. You would have to drive up into Knoxville/BLM land.

99% chance it's just bird bombs anyway. We use them all the time in the vineyard.
