General Talk / My newest kayak 😁😁😁
« Last post by Bulldog---Alex on Today at 11:28:21 AM »
As I am getting later in yrs, :smt002 I find myself alternating more often to my boats on less than ideal conditions on the water.

I mostly fish freshwater on the kayaks unless conditions are favorable on the big blue.

So this is my latest toy that should be ready for the big blue. Complete tune up and fluid changes before she ventures out.

1802 trophy with a whopping 115 hp 4 stroke. :smt007

This is what they appear on my FF...
That's pretty much the image I get on my Humminbird Helix.

Cheers,
Brad

Does this mean that Cabezon and greenlings are unfishable (from boat) from April 1 - April 30 and Dec 1- Dec 31? Not sure how common they are offshore, but I imagine they pop up every now and then.

Fished Bullard's for 4 hours, for just 2 fish. Seemed slow for the 2 or 3 other boats that were out.

Personally I get a lot more sensitivity on my Lynx than on my Outback with the same FF (Lowrance Hook 5) but different transducers. I don't know if the difference is the transducer or the mount.
I remember taking notes from someone (Alan Fong?) that the transducer is more important than the FF and the ones that come included are not that good.
I feel like I remember this as well.  Do you happen to know which td gives you better signal?  For me, I feel like the old blue lowrance one has better signal than the long skinny triple shot one.
