General Fishing Tips / How far can u go for salmon?
« on: March 08, 2013, 09:21:57 AM »
Since salmon season is just around the corner it's time to ask squid question. How far are u willing to paddle for salmon? I know my limit is 10 miles comfortably. Usually at the start of the season I board my buddys boat and make a run to soquel hole in sc. This year I wanna kick off the season on my yak. So the question is if anybody here made a run as far as soqel hole or what are ur guys favorite spots for the stArt of the season. Thx

Went to mbk today, as usual got nothin. Tommorow is back to sc. Heard that there are some wsb around davenport. Only entry i know about is 4 mile but its a long hike to the beach and swell looks pretty ugly to. Anybody knows diffrent entries? If not than it mile bouy again. thanks

Pretty cool thing happend too. I saw some birds working the area and thought it was wsb. When i got closer, there was lots of trashing on the water. At that moment my first thought was gws playing with a sea lion. Next thing i saw was big sunfish getting tossed in the air and ripped apart by really big bull sea lion. Got it in go pro, so ill try to put it on the web.

here is the video      pretty boring, good action at 2:30
