Craftsmen's Corner / Steel Hobie replacement cables
« on: November 07, 2017, 04:59:27 PM »
Hey Hobie guys. Since this is my busy time for baits, I've been wanting to post this for about a month now.

Ok so I broke my Hobie drive pulley like many of you and was looking to purchase some materials to fix it myself. Then I came across Alan Cross who happened to make these replacement cables. These cables are so awesome and made from rubber coated steel for only $25 bucks!

You need to replace these cables asap, trust me. If the Hobie plastic ones break, the plastic will be lodged in the hole and you will NOT be able to remove it. You will have to send it into Hobie on your dime. For just $25 you can eliminate so much headache. You can reach Alan at ledthrax@gmail.com. Enough said.

For Sale / Daiwa TypeR8.1 and Revo HS60 for sale
« on: November 07, 2017, 02:11:41 PM »
Hey guys, I'm dumping a few reels that just dont get used. I'm in Mather, CA but I can ship.

1. Daiwa Tatula 100XS Type R 8.1 $125

Like new, used maybe 10 times for flipping only. I don't really flip so it went for yak rides basically. Near perfect condition aesthetically and mechanically perfect. The reel has the T wing system. Spooled with 50lb Pline braid.

2. Abu Garcia Revo Toro HS 60 Ratio 6.4.1  $125

Great reel in good condition and excellent mechanically. This model has a clicker which was great for salmon. Very little rash and well maintained by Abu every year. Comes with both reg and power handles and spooled with 40lb power pro braid.

Hey guys, Lowrance just released a wireless transducers that works with android or apple OS. This is a castable, rechargeable self contained wifi device. This particular unit is designed to give bankers a quality sonar option. This unit is not mountable as a traditional transducer... but I'm sure something is in the works, wink. Anyway the applications for is unit is very diverse for kayak fishing, as I see it would be great for... checking areas that are difficult to maneuver into or around such as - dock slips, small cuts, tight bridge pillings, wash rock areas, laydowns, etc. The time saving features especially during a tourney could be invaluable. You can also create contour maps with the 3D unit. I'll try to pick one up and do a review asap. Tight lines guys!

I was looking into those, I'm just more worried about my phone taking a dive into the deep blue TBH.  Also off topic.  will you be at Simply Fishing?

I wont be fishing the event this year but I'm going to get up Thursday for some fillets and come back to Sac on Fri.

It's true, they actually have they're own police and they are on point. If residence see you in the water they will call dfg. They will try to nail you if they think you got off trail and if you park anywhere near the launch, even to unload they will boot and tow you. If you decide to go stay on the trail and have all your fishing license stuff ready. Also the walk to the water is roughly a mile long from the parking area on 1. good luck

Hey guys, got a couple units I need to get rid of....

Elite Chirp 5" model $225
Hook 9" model $425

Units come with no transducer or power cable. These units are plug n play upgrades. All units work great with and require HDI style transducers. The 9" was used once for a otw demo.

Ram 1.5" and ram arm for total scan transducer on my PA. I mostly use the total scan(side scan) for lakes, the arm can be a pita on the delta. I have a HDI trans in the trans cavity. I can easily switch bake and forth.
