I had a crack in the top of the yak and wilderness replaced it but I had to send them pics of it destroyed.

Craftsmen's Corner / Aluminum T tracks for mounting accessories

Anyone know of a supplier who offers Aluminum "T tracks" for mounting accessories.
All I can find are sites such as Austin Kayak who offers short pieces.
I'm looking for lengths around 54 inches .

Any info greatly appreciated.

Craftsmen's Corner / Air Compressor

My 29 year old air compressor has about had it. Pressure switch is shot and I can't find the exact replacement. To add topping to the cake, I have found out it was recalled about 20 years ago.......Ingersol-Rand Rand 4000.
So I've decided to retire it.

What's a good air compressor for home use with a 20 gallon tank? It seems even the bedrock brands are made offshore now (china) so its hard to tell a good one from a bad one; unless you go industrial.

Any opinions?

Kayaks / Recommendations for short 10 ft +/- yak to carry on back of RV

I currently have a Ocean Trident 13 which I use around SF Bay and on lakes, but I want to carry a yak , vertically on the rear of my RV.

Anyone have any recommendations for a 10 ft or so, SOT for fishing on lakes?

Hookups and Fishing Reports (Viewable by Public) / Lewiston Lake

Fished from the yak 4 mornings at Lewiston Lake , Trinity County , Cali.

Friday limited pretty fast . fish were jumping at this spot all over the place until the sun came over the mountains.
Wednesday: 3 trout
Tuesday: 2 trout
Monday : 2 trout

also fished from a friends boat and got a few more. They have been going there for 30 years and they said this was one of the worst week's they've had fishing.

Downside of the week, was some tweakers stealing his gas tank and a gas tank and a battery off another boat, which was anchored onshore cross from Terrace View Resort where they had cabins......

My plan was to leave the yak on the bank until all the thefts happened.

Still a fun week .......................

General Talk / 25 hp outboard; your opinion please

I'm pretty close to pulling the trigger on a new 25hp outboard.

In the past I had a 50hp Honda, 28hp Johnson 2 stroke, 25 hp Mercs on various boats over 20 years.

I'm trying to decide between a Honda, Yamaha, Merc or Tohatsu.

Any opinions or knowledge will be greatly appreciated.

Hookups and Fishing Reports (Viewable by Public) / Almanor, Davis & Jackson Meadows

About a week and a half ago, I spent 2 days at Lake Almanor, One day at Davis Lake & 3 days at Jackson Meadows Reservoir (but only fished two days at Jackson Meadows)
My total take for 5 days fishing was 2 small trout. Out of our group we had a total of 6 fisher people in two boats and 2 yaks.

I think the take was 4 or 5 trout for everyone. But they put out crawdad traps and had over a hundred so we had appetizers one night.

all in all it was a good trip except the one day I had thunder storms at Lake Almanor

1988 25hp Johnson outboard, Long shaft, tiller steer.
This motor was on a boat I just picked up that was in storage for ten years.
I am upgrading to a four stroke motor.
Starts right up. come see it run.
I have this on CL at $575 but will sell to a NCKA person for $425

Right now the motor is on the boat in Fiddletown, which is 45 minutes from Sacramento of hwy 49.

I've got an almost new prowler 13 w/ a lowrance FF, anchor trolley, paddle (not the one in the pic) I'd let go for $575.
Right now the yak is about 45 minutes east of Sacramento in the foothills. Stored inside.
