General Talk / Re: Ocean Kayak Scupper Pro« on: January 30, 2014, 04:21:26 PM »That was my first yak. It's fast and a great boat but it was too tippy for me. There are quite a few guys on here that have them and love them. I just felt more comfortable in a more stable boat for me. That's pretty funny.........no I didn't swamp it like the little toy one you let me borrow I would be fine on the Scupper Pro with not a care in the world....just enjoying being OTW.........Next thing you know I'm taking a dip I'm fine now with my Prowler 15 gut and all 4736

I use a Trident Lobster Game Bag.........not free but is pretty handy since it is spring loaded and opens wide with just one hand. Excellent for crabs, fish and lobster. Very durable too. 4739

I only used mine a few times before selling it to another member here that I believe loves it. It's a great boat though and you got a great deal....congrats 4740
Fish Talk / Re: Humbolt Squid« on: January 29, 2014, 08:32:57 PM »Maybe we can get enough together to do a whole boat NCKA takeover. I went out of Bodega with Capt. Rick Powers.....the guy is quite the character. Not sure if he's the best guy but the boat had like 200+ caught the day I went. The cost was about 100 bucks per person. Then you have to buy the lures. The big squid lure was about 20 bucks on board but you can pick them up for cheaper online. I came home with about 120 lbs of cleaned squid bodies. What a freaking mess that boat was it is a unique fishing experience. They will clean them on board for a price and they keep the tentacles for crab bait. http://www.bodegabaysportfishing.com/ |
