Hobie Kayaks / Revo 13 design history

I'm on the hunt for a kayak. I know I should demo a few before deciding but that seems particularly in these times. So I've narrowed down to a revo 13 or maybe 11. Seems like they are a good combo of surf punching power plus speed?
I'm open to getting a "starter" boat like a frenzy or something that I can at least get wet in, but it sounds like people progress pretty quickly to more capable craft.
Goals are to be able to handle somewhat large surf launch/landings since I have to travel and can't always choose the calmest days, target ling/rockfish mainly but trolling salmon looks super fun.
Are there any significant design change milestones in the Hobies (revo and maybe outback) to look out for in a used boat?
