General Fishing Tips / Whats wrong with San Gregorio?
« on: July 14, 2009, 10:21:22 AM »
I have not seen any in hookups about San Gregorio, is there anyone have tried this place yet? I've fish here so many times on Charter Boats (Queen of Hearts) and do pretty well depending on the month but between July to End of August this is usually productive specially the Halis, I am just wondering why seems nobody is mentioning this spot on hookups, its north of Bean Hollow... why is this spot not being ventures by the Yakers? Is it infested by the Landlord? Maybe? Just wondering on everyone's opinion..

My brother freakin brother in law who never sleep :smt002, call me and says let go fishing, I found a secret spot that my friend told me I am taking you there, if you want you can bring your kayak, I said where is this spot, he goes SSHHHH promise you'll never tell a soul I smiled and says OK :smt003, he says "soul" not souls or NCKA Bro... :smt044 :smt044 :smt044, anyway we got there around 7ish, on 2nd cast was a 15lbs butt its my first butt hookup I thought its a bat ray, I said wait do they even bite on hairraiser.. finally I seen those eyes and the fins got goosebums bit my hand and says OMG its a hali... Then he yelled at me saying I got one I think it might be a hali too or a stingray, it end up to be 20lbs striper, no tape measures but I got a scale..SHHHH your being loud (honestly I dont think its even a secret spot cause theres 15 peeps in there fishing)... everyone knows this place initial CF (guess) pics of the hali soon,

Hookups and Fishing Reports (Viewable by Public) / LM and HMB 7/11
« on: July 11, 2009, 04:49:09 PM »
Nothing much to report met with Peter (Obkook) and Marvin (Shicken) around 5:30 we are debating between Crissy Fields and LM theres tons of baitfish everywhere, first we tried LM Ariel's report are very enticing for us so we voted for LM, bad idea waves has no pattern choppy big breaks, yet we said its border line, First was Pater then I followed it was a wet one going out.. Marvin decided not to take chance, as soon a we headout OMG big waves/swell bout 6ft, I didn't took Dramamine so I felt squiky I told peter I am going in I am feeling sick, on the way I tried to time it, waited for the big break and rode it, unfortunately its too unpredictable, I noticed another big break behind me  :smt107 I couldnt avoid it and it swallows me and rolled me, got my first Garage Sale.. :smt005 :smt005 :smt005 :smt005 :smt005 :smt005 Thanks to Marvin for helping me out dragging the yak on the shore and Peter for the shirt, I manage to salvage some of my floating tackle, we went to HMB after but wind and swell made me stay inside the harbor and caught hundreds of baitfish... I began to freakout at HMB when I saw the white caps at the mavericks...next borderline will be a big NO NO NO NO...

Are there even an experience one? The weather says its 5 ft swell but the wind is manageable, and the waves 1-2 feet..So anyone? obkook and I are planning to head there, he is newbie like me on kayak fishing but he is an experienced surfer...Again just wondering :smt003

General Fishing Tips / Wondering why fishing is good lately?
« on: July 10, 2009, 09:33:39 AM »
Well might as well enjoy it for its not to stay this way, this is only due to the El Nino, the warming surface of the pacific ocean causes the fish to move and active constantly, I know you guys knows this too, but what I am trying to say is lets enjoy and fish every chance we can get.. :smt003 :smt003 :smt003 Are you reading this KEO? where are you JAI BOI?

Meet with Don D. and Gordo around 6ish, Talking about nice weather lovin it  :smt007 :smt007, I pulled on the curve and asked, Are you guys are NCKA they smiled at me and says yup, now I feel better, we stood on the beach and they are watching the Surf and I am watching them (I have no clue  :smt009 :smt009 :smt009) 1st on the water its Gordo I followed by Don's instructions paddled out north, first fish was black, too small to keep too big for bait, so I decided put it back second hookup nice pull, I knew it was a ling but as I reeled it in I saw a nice brownies, got pumped up grab the net scooped it the next thing I know there was actually a ling on my Jig tried to scoop it too and its gone... I guess I got too excited on the brownie, caught my limit of rockies nice ones, it was my second out the ocean that I got good action (1st was a clinic), it was good day with good company, Don lost a ling when he was trying to take underwater photo  :smt003 :smt003 :smt003, Thanks to Gordo and Don G. for all the assistance. Going back was a treat I got my blood going hearing all the Surf smashing on the rocks, Thanks to Don for nailing a smooth landing. I cant thank you enough :smt003, oh.. no 3 piece rod for me ...  :smt005 :smt005 :smt005, Can I get a JAI BOI I wish Keo was there :smt005 :smt005 :smt005 Thanks to Sonny for the Paddle..
