Can I suggest some Hollandaise sauce? You can get it store bought but it's not much trouble to make yourself and goes really well with fried fish.
Ooo, that sounds yummy! I have friends with chickens, and a neighbor with a lemon tree. Sooo good with fresh local eggs and lemons! Also worth a little more for the fancy Irish butter, especially for Hollandaise!
dang

As much as I would love to be out fishing and only a short distance to all the launches in Monterey Bay, I really need to reduce the inventory of cod and halibut I have now. Will be targeting seabass hopefully this weekend though.
nice predicaments!

Diggin' the net in the background of your pic. Reminds me of a net I have that served well and many memories. Good stuff.

Welcome to the madness and NCKA . Congrats on the maiden voyage and first yak fish!

In the 4Runner I always carry water for Bacon and I to drink, usually 1gallon jugs.  I lost the top to my jug when I went to Bullards a couple weekends ago, but kept the bottle until I bought a new one to replace it.  Last weekend I loaded up my trailer and hit the road and when Bacon declared that she needed water I pulled out the jug and filled a cup and gave it to her and put it back in the foot well.  Got to my camping spot and was unloading gear and pulled the bottle out and it had two dead rats in it. :puke: I'm really not sure if I drank any of the rat water but for sure Bacon did and it grossed me out enough to almost throw up.

How strange

Was pulling weeds in the yard garden area when I came upon this guy... do I saute w/ butter? I considered letting it go thinking it might be rodent eater, but nah most likely a dangerous critter to be around... guessing it's a rattlesnake. Does it mean there's likely more around? Never had an issue w/ snakes being around that i know of. Neighbor has one of those tiny dogs.

Sure wouldn’t want to go on a party/six pack boat if rods had to pulled out after each individual got a limit. I’ve been on a trip where we were one fish short of a limit, and the captain is begging everyone to keep their rods in the water.
Popeye comes to mind
