Great story and fun to see.

I grew up about 2 blocks away from her house and lived there 1963-1985. Used to deliver newspapers to her house. She's always been a legend. During the 1970s, Mike Fong lived a few houses up on the other side of the street from Jacky.  He was a great fisherman, and he and his wife wrote articles for Angler magazine and other pubs.  Angler mag was a cool pub that was short-lived but had great NorCal, and other area, articles. Still have a few issues stored away in the attic.  I can remember articles on  fishing stripers from the rocks in SF and the past run of stripers on the Russian River.  Lots of good memories growing up in that neighborhood at that time, and fishing on PAL boats as a kid for salmon and rockfish.  A friend's dad worked at the old fish companies down at Fisherman's Wharf. Sometimes he'd take us on Saturdays and we'd fish and crab off the piers behind the buildings while he worked. Good times.

Hey Juan - OK, sounds like it might be a northern saw-whet owl.  They have a regular spaced beep that can go on and on and on at night.  Also possible to be a northern pygmy owl but they often call at dusk and usually don't go on and on in the middle of the night like a saw-whet.  Other small owl out there would be western screech but there call is not the regular spaced note. Have fun!

I was just up in Cazadero this weekend.  My buddy is just leaving there now and reports big mushroom cloud and fire appears to be getting going.

There were cracking issues in the drive well associated with the earlier model Outbacks, as evidenced in the pics.  IMO, I would avoid the older models and invest in a new or newer model Outback with the click-in drive.

Sean/blondstallion told me about the site in 2005.  Still have the OK P-15 I bought in 2005. Lurked for a year before signing on in 2006.  First hook-up met Mooch and he warmly welcomed me to the crew by putting on his magic apron and offering me a cookie - the first of fun times from then on, along with so many great adventures and great friends.

Hadn't been OTW since 2016 but last week went to our 37th annual birthday gathering of friends in Cazadero to celebrate 3 birthdays, one friend turning 60. Spent a morning on Tomales and graced with a halibut that provided a nice dinner for the group.  Grateful for the friends and adventures from NCKA!

Nice John!!! Glad you got out! Let's fish together again sometime after this over :smt006

Sounds good Naoaki!
