hi all,

looking for ideas on how to haul Danielson traps on my Caribbean 12.  has anyone figured out a good design using the scuppers + pvc?  I tried bungees last season and it was a PITA.

Be careful about sticking PVC in the scuppers-- you can put a lot of leverage on the scupper walls, and cracks below the waterline can really ruin your day.

Do you have the angler version of the Caribbean 12? If so, it looks like it has two flush rod holders behind the seat, like my Hobie does. What works well for me: cut two pieces of the largest diameter PVC that fit in the rod holder, then wrap them with tape until they fit nice and snug. If done right, the pipes can be removed in an instant but will stay put in a rollover.

The photo below shows them in action (at the top of the photo-- ignore the fish  :smt001).
