This will be my first conventional reel and u wanted some with a small spool so I can guide the lines easily. Just wondering if the max drag of 9lbs at strike would be enough or should I opt for more? ie. Raptor or Lx

I lost one of my screws from the handles. Contacted WS with no response but I contact my local WS dealer and they just gave me one for free because I bought mine tarpon 150 from them.

My only question is how the rudder will be controlled once the drives are install? Not much use for the foot pegs with the peddle drive.

I bought my Tarpon 140 Sand from them a while back and went in yesterday for a few things. They were very helpful in getting what I needed to be ready on the water. I'm going to put them nrs paddle shoes to work tomorrow. Great guys over there and I'm definitely going back for more.

Sweet fish and i dint know there were even browns in port of sac. Yeah I got a few bass rods but they are for baitcasters and I only have a 9ft rod for my spinning reel. Was going to buy a shimano compre for it, but I figure I spend a few extra buck and grab something I can take to the ocean.

Oh I was looking for a rod since I already have the spinning reel. I know I would be better off with a conventional reel but I got to put the thunnus to use lol.

General Fishing Tips / looking rod for trolling umbrella rigs and live bait...« on: May 11, 2015, 05:14:35 PM »
I need a rod for trolling from the yak. I am a big shimano fan FYI lol. But I been interested in a few seeker rods and can't decide because I have no exp with any of the three. It will be for a spinning reel which is a Shimano Thunnus ci4 4000. Will be trolling local lakes and port of sac, but will eventually start saltwater fishing so I wanted something that can handle Salmons and halibuts. Any input would help thanks.

I plan to fish the port of sac and a few local lakes in the sacramento region sho I figure a walkie talkie would be fine but I would really like a vhf for when I'm ready for btb and tournaments held by ncka

Hmm I would like something with better vhf reception for safety concerns. I might just grab some decent walkie talkie for me and my buddies for the time being until I figure out what I need. Thanks guys for the response.
