It's only our 2nd year for hosting such events and we already look like ol' pros.  Congrats and thanks to Sean and family, Erik, Bill, and everyone who help make Elk II a big success.

As Sean said.... the fact that we were able to fish in such rough conditions shows how experienced we've become as a group.  Kudos to all!

Personally, it was huge pleasure to meet new members like Zilla and Cafe Craig... and to see old friends.  It's also a big honor to have guys like Ed and Allen come all the way from Utah to join us.

Congrats to our derby winners -- Erik, Dave, and Tony

I'm already looking forward to next one!

The former Elk champ, Brian / bsteves and the future champion, EK - fishing the outflow between two rock piles.....this was the same place I hooked up on two lings (Bill has pics) I used a combo platter set up with a green hoochie on top and a megabait on the bottom. A 20 inch ling hit the hoochie and the 24 1/2 Ling took the mega bait.  :smt005

We met Sean and Jelly at the North point of Cuffy Cove....Erik and I then followed Sean to one of his "go to" spots...and that's when Erik got his monster ling and I also caught my 21 inch cabezon :smt002 Thanks to Sean and Jelly for the guided trip to the honey hole  :smt008

we seriously need to help our brother Alex / aliens.....to this day, he still takes his antique 1980's-made-10 mega pixel camera where ever he goes (and he thinks he's cool that way  :smt011:smt003 I bet he still uses a rotary phone and plays his Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack on an 8-Track  :smt005

Alex...love ya brah :smt008

...and speaking of Fear Factor...here's what Alex brought for Lunch: Squid and Mackerel (which were also used for bait) And to top it off,  Brad Zilla brought a rice cooker - which instantly made him MY BEST FRIEND  :smt007 Alex later told me that Brad is the "brother" he has been looking for all his life  :smt002 Brad in fact, is one of those guys that can blend in well with whoever he "chills" with  :smt002 ...a very cool cat  :smt004

Friday night, Stu, ChuckE and Harold / Fuzz came back with big stringer of rockfish for the deep fry.....and as you can see, Chris / Cpyak uses his "weight" around the little guys (Stu and Harold)...he simply walks from behind the line and takes whatever he wants  :smt011 What a big bully  :smt003
