Jackson Kayak / Re: kraken stable enough for standing
« on: March 20, 2016, 08:00:33 PM »
I have been looking into my first big kayak purchase going from an ascend 10 and found a great deal on the kraken 15.5 just wondering if it's stable enough to stand and fish from. Beginning to gather there is no do it all kayak and I have been looking all over the Web and some say yes while others say not so much. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Also I'm 6'2 190 lbs if that makes any difference
Just bought a kraken and haven't practiced standing, I think you may find sitting to be the mo of salty fishing.  I could be wrong, i've crawled forward, and turned completely backward over my seat to grab stuff, 5'8 163lb, steady but wiggly, with some chop you'll be sittin' quick.  Maybe you could master standing and give me courage.  Love my Kraken

Thank you, keepin it real and on the cheap.  On that note, no need to put anything on ice while fishing, due to the freshness of the catch?  Do you bleed your fish?

No, I don't bleed my fish.  Just the opposite.  Thanks to the fangs on lings I usually end up with a bloody finger or two.
Wow, I've seen LoletaEric videos on youtube and he manhandles em' and it gives me courage.  Thanks for the info, and I hear my blood has a good color.

I picked up a ctug and it takes some trial and error to secure the kayak for wheeling, but i figured it out so far and learned a few tricks that work.  For the price, I wish it was flawless, but am now a ctug believer
