I caught some Mackerel (Saba in Japanese) recently and wanted to try a Japanese dish that most of us would like since Mackerel can be a little difficult to work with and has a pretty strong taste. I'll post another few fav. recipe of mine which are a little more for people who like the taste of a stronger fish.

I attached the pics from a Japanese cookbook I use. Here goes the translation!

Cutting is pretty simple, easy as 1-5!

Then you marinate for 15-20 min. Mix these together first to dissolve the sugar and lightly mix into fish pieces.
3 tablespoons Soy Sauce
1 Tablespoon Rice Wine
1 Tablespoon sugar

Then pour out the fish into a strainer and drain well.

Put the fish into a plastic bag with Cornstarch and lightly bounce them around until they're coated.

Fry em 3-4 at a time until brown and drain.

I eat it with rice and Miso soup but sure it'll go well with pretty much anything. ENJOY!!! :smt003
