So barefoot1/Jeff and I are taking Wednesday, 2/23, and Thursday, 2/24 and heading up to the foothills and will be fishing two of the lakes, we just don't know which ones yet.  If you're interested in joining or have any input, let it fly.

The big fish of Amador are tempting but based on all of the reports, it is a fickle lake and we want to catch fish.  Comanche produces fish but even it lately has been slow recently.  As it's been discussed, Pardee just opened and there are loads of fish to catch, but most of these are of the small variety.  Ultimately we'll post up before we leave.

We'll be staying at Comanche but don't exactly know if we'll be tent camping or getting a room.  Ultimately the weather will decide for us as we don't want to be miserable in the rain.

Company welcome; Ch. 69!

Good luck Michael. Let me know if you guys ever do a Saturday. I'd love to learn how to fish those lakes up there.

Saw a lot of big fish come out of Pardee 2-20-11. If you are willing to fling the cheese you can take home 10#'s of high grade purina fed rainbows. Great fights!

Motel at North shore (more like cabins)---off season rate $60.00 double occupancy.  They also have housekeeping cabins starting at $115.00 4 person occupancy, off season rate.  Nothing fancy but it saves a whole lot of loading and unloading camping gear for just one night. ----Jeff

Hitting Amador tomorrow and most likely Pardee on Thursday.  If anything changes for Thursday, I'll post up.

Give a shout out on the radio if you show up.
