My hand held went into the drink,I was wondering if theres a radio thats not so bulky ,at a reasonable price ,that I can replase with Thanx,Gabe.

 For a Kayak, I recommend getting a VHF that is fully water proof.  Many are not.  I like the Standard VHFs.  Here's a test on radios.  http://www.powerboat-reports.com/sample/vhf.html    For smaller radio, Uniden makes some nice radios.
