What do you guys think about this vs a fish and dive? I don't like that the length of the hatch goes sideways instead of lengthwise.

I've been fishing a fishndive the last few years and it's really stable but sucks to paddle distances.  Andy

Yeah, I have a Hobie Adventure for distance. This will primarily be for diving which is usually 1/2 mile or less. I would still like to be as efficient as possible.

In that case the fish n dive is awesome.  I took a friend to Leftinwell a while back for his first kayak experience.  He's a nut and decided to stand up in order to take a leak.  Well his legs were a little wobbly and he slipped.  The cool thing was that 80 percent of his body went into the water and his left leg was still in the boat.  Surprisingly he still didn't manage to flip the kayak.  The storage space and big hatch are tremendous also.  Another thing I like is that my best friend is 300 plus pounds and has no problem paddling this yak with little experience.  Andy

I didn't asked but it was amazing to see him straddling the side of my boat with his pants down.  Like I said probably 80% of his body was outside the kayak.  Andy

the hatch is longer then wide and runs front to back,My wife and I both have a big game angler and love them.my only complaint is I still have to work for a living and cant fish my kayak as much as I want to.this looks like a great deal with all the rigging it has and with the deck hatch and rudder I wish my garage was bigger
