I tied searching for this answer so sorry if it's redundant. Is there a front and back to the transducer? I have a Eagle Cuda 300 and wanted to make sure the transducer wasn't suppose to point forward, I was thinking it didn't matter but wanted to be sure before doing the permanent fix.

Thanks in advance!

You are right, I don't think it matters.  But if you are concerned, when you mount the transducer, make sure the bracket (that would normally mount to the transom of a boat) is pointed towards the front of the kayak.

Hope that helps.
