I knew we would have to do this eventually and today the time has come. The Fishing Reports forum will now only be available to members that have at least 10 post. No more lurkers or lookie loos or google indexing.

If you try to pad your post count, you will be dealt with harshly, don't do it.  :smt003

I assume just positing so you get up the to the min # of posts you you can view the reports. I like the idea and 10 posts is really a small #.

i agree with this 100%, to many folks just jump from site to site chasing reports with out ever contributing to the site.  Bastids.  :smt003

This should be a "sticky" so the new members could find this info easily!

Yer gunna make me take my stupid camera along.....
Oh well....maybe that's to the good....for me and you.

I've been following this controversy (silently) for a long time.
I've never quite seen the sense of it.
It strikes me as "clubby" and "high-schoolish"...but it's your website.

The decision isn't monumentally bad.
Doesn't seem monumentally good.
Seems unlikely to change the charachter of the website or its members.

Humm... Oh well, I guess its for a good cause.  I do like sharing my reports with my non-yak friends, but I guess I can just show them pictures instead and email the report.  Or they can get their own account  :smt003
