what kind of extra gear do it need, like anchor, snare, heavy rod real, and what kind of bait, might scavenger today so i can make it

Anchor & snare very important, if no snare then just grab em by their gill plate. I use medium rod 15-30lbs and 20lbs test line. Ghost shrimp and/or grass shrimp is key. Don't forget your sturgeon '09 report card. The most important thing to have when sturgeon fishing is BEER!
