My GF had a kayak painting of mine framed.
I hung it on the wall of the living room and she said NO WAY!!!
And that is putting it mildly. :smt062 :smt067
I like it but I may be biased.  :smt002
I want others opinions to settle this dispute.
Does it stay or does it come down??
Please vote.

dude, the painting is great but the livingroom is ugly. you need some new furniture from a more recent decade and some new color on the walls. that painting deserves a better life than that.

Painting is too small for the wall.  Paint a larger scale version and gorilla glue it to the wall.

I like it.
Then again, I'm a proponent of art in any form and my entire house is decorated with pieces celebrating fish and stuff.

My rastafish is still hanging in a very in-your-face spot in the living room.

Laura says homemade art is the best kind.

I asked my girlfriend.  She said "it's too small for that space.  I'm sure there is another wall in the house where it could go".  She started to say more, but I cut her off at that point ...  :smt004

She probably wouldn't mind having it posted in the room where you occasionally assume "The Thinker" position. :) Or on the ceiling of the bedroom when you wake up and don't feel like getting up right away.

the painting rocks. its should stay, but the wall needs more kayak fishing art and some framed photos of you, chub, and various NCKA friends.
maybe it would help your cause with Becky if you try to deflect her dislike of the art by comparing it to the decor at Terrys house. Sometimes the "it could be worse" thing works with stuff like this.
here is a good example and this one happens to be next the panther table for bonus effect.
good luck and I would leave out the fact that Im single.

I think it needs a different wall. Let's move it to my house and see how that looks.

Tote, I'll be honest with you. I make some art also and sometimes just putting up one of my pieces is a real chore because I dont think they look good enough.( my own insecurities) So when I see someone who thinks that their art is worthy of hanging in their own home I say RIGHT ON! It fuckin looks great. I agree with someone else in saying that if you get rid of gramndmas couch and put in some sleek hip furniture your painting will look even cooler and more like modernistic art. :smt004
