Fished the east edge of the kelp at Lighthouse hoping for halibut.Nothing. The jacksmelt have showed up which may be a good sign. Took an evening drift out by the yellow can. Also nothing. Saw a lot of jellyfish about .25 mile west of can. When is the wind going  to get normal? Nature is messing with my plans.

Well, way to put in the time Casey.
Some seasons the dues seem steeper than others!
I think last year at this time we were all saying "WTF is with this wind" as well.

I was out there for a while yesterday afternoon, too. Halfway to the mile buoy, it was too rough to fish.  Breakers were steep enough to make me hold onto my paddle. The wind was less near shore, with much smaller waves. I only had a short time available, so I didn't head over to West Cliff. Saw a fisherman on a red Hobie heading back from West Cliff, but I didn't have a chance to ask how it went.  Early morning is the way to go on these windy days.
