Hi Everyone- macha here.  Just purchased an Outback and am searching for best way to store it in my garage.  Wife thinks hanging it over the cars is best option, but I’m concerned about bowing over time.  Is it okay to just keep kayak on it’s side? I live in the bay where it’s neither too hot nor cold.  Thx for any help you can provide.  I’m new to the sport and can’t wait to get out very soon.  M

I have my outback upside down on a rolling rack for 1 1/2 years now with no bowing. The supports are just behind the seat and just just behind the front hatch. Lots of strength at those points.

I have my Outback hanging on the wall with a set of Suspnz Deluxe Rack / slings. My Oasis sits on a Harbor Freight "creeper" that just happens to be shaped the same as the bottom of the hull and allows me to slide it out easily. I wouldn't store it for long on its side. My Outback had a pretty good dent in it when I bought it. I was able to pop it out with hot water and an air compressor.

I store my TI on its side, resting on a memory foam mattress. I think this gives it a fair amount of support.
I believe Hobie recommends upside down or on its side, and that's without a mattress!

Mine is stored outside under a deck, on its side, covered with a 4mil plastic "Painters tarp" from ACE.  it used to hang under the Deck with 1" web straps at the front rod holders and back rod holders. but I got lazy and choose to just keep in on the ground.
