What do you guys think of this as a first kayak, to be left in Timber Cove as dedicated area fishing machine? I'm 6'2" and 215 lbs.  Is it worth holding out for something longer?

Your height/weight isn't an issue, per manufacturer specs. I had an older T13, and I'm 5'10" and 170 pounds, so I couldnt say how iy may paddle for someone of your size. It tracks well, if that was your concern. It is a killer deal, as Andy mentioned.

I am 6' 240+, at your weight the Trident13 will paddle great. Even a person 6'3" or 6'4" with long legs will fit comfortably too. IMO the T13 loses some performance at about 260 or 270 angler weight plus gear even then it paddles fine and can take much more, the waterline just gets higher and it tracks less ideally. A T13 is a super kayak I would recommend highly.  If you plan on carrying a lot of heavy saltwater gear and/ or ocean fish most of the time consider a Trident 15 for performance. The 13 is more maneuverable and easier to load and store. Don't worry about it too much though the Trident series are great yaks

Thank you Amos!! I contacted the seller. Coming from Berkeley, Salinas is a hike but it looks like a great match to my needs.

Be well, Woof
