Hey there, got the day off tomorrow and want to chase some chrome, where are the hot spots? Bolinas? Bodega head? Was thinking of trying Bolinas tomorrow, never fished there, any tips? Any good spot to hit on the way in for rock fish? Anyone hitting up that area tomorrow and wanna join? Let me know!

I heard the bite turned off yesterday.

You are a close paddle to duxburry reef which can produce on the rockfish.  The salmon are anywhere from 40 ft of water to 65 ft.  Anywhere in between the dux green can and rocky point (other side of Stinson).

Seems like the fish got on the bite between noon and 3 pm. The bite switch to the afternoon and the fish were larger grade.

The bite at Bolinas is a day to day phenomenon. WFO one day, slower the next.

Overall, this is the time of year to fish the Marin Coastline for your best chance at salmon (especially bigger ones).

Don't be afraid to fish SHALLOW. 15-30 feet of water is a good place to start IF there's bait in the area.

Both fish I got a last trip were caught in less than 40 feet of water. Smaller one came in 30 feet of water, bigger one from around 38-40. Both were caught at 42 pulls on the DD6 diver.

Bite is DEAD. Went out yesterday on a PB, fished from 0645-1500 for zero bites. A couple boats ran into a couple but I'd guess the counts were less than a fish per ten boats/20 rods. Plenty of bait around and really nice weather...

The North Side bite changes day to day this time of year. You have to put in the time and intercept the fish as they pass by on their way to the Gate.

There are still fish being caught, including some big ones.
