Hey guys,

I am new to this forum, but looking forward to hanging out here for a while.   :smt006  Looking forward to meeting some of you out on the water sometime.

Me and a buddy hit Tomales Bay today to do some Halibut fishing.  High tide was around noon and we had a pretty big negative tide that morning, so we weren't expecting to really get into them that amazingly.  But, we weren't really expecting to skunk either.  All in all, beautiful day out on the water, too bad the drive home had Sooo much Traffic!!  :smt013

Cheers mates!

Please excuse the NooB question, but what kind of fishing rig do you guys use for halibut?? Heavy rod and 30lb line, for example?
