Thanks for posting.

Hopefully more details will come to light so we can actually learn something from this poor dude's experience.

Hard ass time!
If the guy did not need medical attention then why did he need to be rescued?
I am glad the person is OK, but unless there are extenuating circumstances this stuff really creams my corn!
With all the info out there today there really is no excuse.

Talked to someone yesterday. I didn't pay too close attention, but something about he swamped it, it filled with water. He had no wetsuit. another kayaker had to call CG on his behalf because he had no radio. They hailed a nearby boat and he was so cold and weak they had to rope him like a "dead wet dog" onto the deck. They handed him off to a CG vessel. That's all I know.

People who go on the ocean unprepared should get a ticket.

Dress for immersion.  Have at least one VHF.  Have navigational aids.

The man who was rescued was a kid named Eric Anderson. His brother is a chef...................... sounding familiar??????????? Fishing with Dennis Spike?????????????????????? So you have two so called seasoned vets taking someone out who cant advise the kid on safety? Eric is a son to a friend of mines GF. Ill be sure to post back on more as I receive it. Suntino was rescued last year at Albion. I don't recall any one having the balls to say shit to him. Thanks to Shoprat he got his boat back. If you don't exactly know whats up please don't castrate someone before you have all the info. Sonny was light on insulation too at one of the GS's. I don't remember anyone giving him shit either. Just thankfulness he wasn't worse off.
