Any one use Umpqua Leaders/Tippets any good ? Not a purist but don't want crap.
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Mike, are you going Smallmouth fishing on the river? If thats what you are doing just use a level leader it will turn over the flies you are throwing!

For my 5 weights I use 3' of 14 pound flouro for the butt then 6'-12' of 8 pound flouro for tippet. Loop to loop connection. That is my go to stillwater. I get 100 yard spools at Walmart.  That is my trout and some times bass set up. For bigger bass flies I use 12 pound for the tippet.

For stripers and delta fishing I use straight 20 pound flouro but I make twisted leaded. Straight 20 pound for top water. I use the twisted leaders for all ocean fishing, except when I fish down on so-cal.
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!
