I got a rifle from Buds guns through the internet. But before I did I went shopping for a FFL dealer and found prices ranging from $65.00 to 135.00 so I don't believe there is a cap, you pay DRO's and a service fee. They will tell you what that might be. By the way Curly's was the high quote.

Haha figures it was curlys they always look like they are going out of business when I walk in there. I got a Henry rifle there and the day after I picked it up they called and said they forgot to have me sign something. I said not sure I can make it for a few days...they got nervous and said please can you come in....ASAP. I made a special trip and barely got a thank you. I should have let the Feds bust them. Jesh a box of ammo for the favor would have been nice.

Any final thoughs on my search for an AR platform?  Went to 4 shops in the past 2 days and spoke to the guys @ online 'Gun Genie'.  The S&W M&P Sport is a good starter but no options on the gun what so ever.  Everyone seems to have "basic" black guns on the shelf.  Spent a good deal of time of calguns.net but found minimal guns in the local area @ a reasonable price.  The time is now.....

I may be game on this. I need to "exercise" the Springfield 30-06. I'm looking for my first Semi-auto in a 5.56/.223 size too. My son just bought himself a Sig 22 semi and loves it. Me on the otherhand want a bigger one for protection. My house almost got broken into and I'm still waiting for the perp to show up again. He's been in the neighborhood twice and I've seen him tryingto break into a condo a few doors down. My wife called the cops but they were to late. I know what he loks like and I have several rounds with his name on them if he ever tries to break into my place again.  :smt003

I picked up a new spikes tactical with a few extras.  Used with 0 rounds thru the barrel or chambered.  Looking for the dress up goodies now.  Just ordered some magpul stuff to start the dress up while I wait out the 9 longest remaining days.  Quad front rail came on it with upper Cary handle.  Looking to replace with scope soon.  Need to get a gas block to replace the front iron site.  I'll post up a pic after it comes home!  It also has a date with a laser engraver to get its "tats" on!

We need s hoot down here in the southern territory.  A coworker says there's an open field range in the Los Banos area.  Hoping to go check it out in the next couple weeks with the new gun (and a few from the safe that have yet to be shot -- I know, that's a SIN!)
