So it was the end of the fishing for the day. S.D., alshobie, and I are about 100 yards on front of the jetty (respecting the rules). Here comes this PB flying in like a bat out of hell. :smt013 which i know they do there since the no wake zone is actually inside the jetty. (Fair enough) So he keeps coming right towards me. When i realize he isn't changing coarse I try to back paddle to the guys. His next move is ALL BAD. He tail walks righ up to me and turns at the last second. Less then 30 feet away from me as im yelling and screaming for dear life(not knowing if he saw me). He gives me the finger while smiling doing at least 30 MPH :smt013
We head after him and quickly ran into him at the docks i ask "whats your problem?" he wont even look at me. Thats when i get really :smt013 :smt013 :smt013 and the sh*t hits the fan. I let him know he is in for an ass whooping and that he really F'd up. I guess with two 6 ft + dudes Screaming in your face your attitude changes. He didnt want to say a word give an excuse or any thing. At one point a Gaff was present and there was a threat to put a hole in his boat. (For saftey reasons)
It took every bit of me to not go through with what I really wanted to Do. If not hurt the guy, at least put him in the water as he tried to do me. I was pretty sure he got the point and wont be F*cking with any more Yakers. On my way to the boat I saw a dude recording it all. I asked "get a nice video?" he said "yeah i did" and flashed a badge. Oh great :smt012 He basically told me to cool it and I agreed. I told him the guy tried to kill us and that he needed more then what he got. He agreed as well.
Loading up the trucks here comes SCHarborPatrol, to take a statement. We told them exactly what happened and they were pretty ok about it. There concern lied in the Gaff and not the A hole trying to swamp and possibly hit kayaks. :smt013 which kind of sucks. Jimgosc Is always around when Im there and cops show up (capitola shark attack). :smt005 :smt044
They called me yesterday and asked for my story again. Told me the Guy may want to file charges about the gaff he was never threatened with. Said he sounded like a reckless boater and i shouldn't worry about it. Paperwork is going through to D.A. either way.

Lesson learned Flag down Harbor Patrol they monitor channel 16. It was my in initial thought but I DIDN'T want to involve the Coast Guard as i thought that's who would respond!!! and felt they had more important things to do.
Be careful People. that sure was a scary feeling thinking your going to die. :smt011

Sorry to hear this Chad. If the Harbor Master saw it that prick would get a ticket. I have seen them do it. I had similar incident at HMB when I was dropping crab pots and an SOB on a 50 footer never slowed down and threw big wakes at me. Relax and next time I see you I will buy you a beer.

Damn Chad! I can only imagine what my reaction would be but glad you and the gang are alright. There's always gonna be a hole around because yakers catch more fish than them.

any idea of the model of boat and ideally a name? Be good to watch out for the ahole and never hurts to remind him quietly that we are a BIG family with long memories.

Got swamped at HMB and I feel you. You did the right thing but the CC takes this stuff more seriously. Just make sure you tell them you we're out side of the Jetty otherwise not their Gig.
