Waking up early and headed down to get a walk-in spot @ Limekiln State park with some family to do some hiking, camping and rockfishing.

My fiancee and I will be out on the water to try and catch some dinner fo all of us. So if anyone from the NCKA community want to come down and do some fishing with us along with a BBQ and drinks after is more than welcome to join.

Looks like good low tides in the AM, be careful on the entry and exit! Good luck!

I would probably only be able to make the 3rd. I work the 4th and the 5th. If anything, I'll bring a little beer.

Cheers

I'll be camping at Kirk Creek Campgrounds from 8/1 to 8/5.  If Limekiln is full you can always try there as a back up.  Half the campsites are first come first serve.

I'll be with friends that don't fish but will have some opportunities to get in the water.  Probably be fishing the Willow Creek area so my friends can look for jade while I fish.  If you see me come say high.  I have a sand colored prowler 13.  If you are interested in fishing from Willow Creek let me know and maybe we can hookup Fri. or Sat. morning.

David -

That is a good call. Limekiln isn't very newbie friendly and in fact is the most gnarly shore break in NorCal. Here is a pic of the worst wipe out in my kayaking career which was at Limekiln in 2007. Recognize the kayak? :smt003

 Josh,

Thats what I was thinking going to Kirks Creek as a backup if for some reason we didn't get a spot at Limekiln. I might join you @ Willow Creek Sat what time are you planning to launch?

If Limekiln & Kirk Ck don't have any walk-up sites available, try Plaskett Ck. If that's full, you can drive up Nacimiento-Furgeson Rd (across from Kirk Ck) and camp at Ponderosa or Nacimiento campgrounds. The marine forecast looks favorable--good luck!

Scott-
I was kinda figuring on that one.  I only recognize the back end of the boat.;)
Still trying to get really comfortable with the p15. You were right about it being fast. Rockfish and I paddled out to pif together and his early hobie mirage was trailing a lil.
