An officer from the Capitola Police Department delivered to my house on 7/14 my GWS tooth and Hobie Revo.
Based on the evidence and statements estimated length is between 14 to 16 feet, weight approximately 2,000 lbs.
I was told that it was not a full blown attack but to first find out if my kayak was suitable prey. Thank God!!

I used my Pentax WG-1 on Digital Microscope mode for the shot. I got it at Target and highly recommend it.

Awesome!  So glad you got your yak and souvenir back.  I was hoping you would get the tooth back.  You earned it!

Well Stu, kayak fishing is a lifestyle, not a hobby, sometimes you have to look at the swell report and say "Hey bud let's party"

Chad - Its still to be determined.  I am still waiting for CCK to get back with me.  It does have sentimental value.  Hobie can have CCK cut it up for recycling, let me keep it.  No definite word yet.

If it were mine I'd mount the nose of the kayak for wall hanging.

I'm glad it's all working out, Mel!  That is one hell of a souvenir.
