Looking to spend a good deal of time on the river this year.

shore, boat, and yak.

Definitely will give AR a try again this year when they're running through  :smt001

Yes! Got a couple places in mind, too. From what everyone is saying this is going to be the best season the area's had in a while. Pretty promising!

I just got stationed out here and am new to yak fishing... I'm down to meet up if you don't want to fish solo.

Get an ocean salmon.  River salmon are gross escpecially from rivers with lots of urban runoff and factories lining the shore.

You will never convince me.  Its simple, the water in the ocean is colder and the salmon is in its prime eating and getting ready for the tough change of swimming in freshwater will be stressful.

BTW where are your big fish pics?  Those salmon are small. :smt003 :smt044

There are no big fish in the AR. They are all small and untasty.

Not trying to convince anyone. The fish speak for themselves. Well, sort of I guess if you speak fish.

I don't care how they taste. I don't eat them. Catching is fun and the rivers are a whole lot closer than the ocean.
