Idaho Mycelia - Boletes, Lactarius, and Amanita

(1/1)

Fish N' Chips:
I took a nice trip to Winchester Idaho to see some friends and have some fun.  Well conditions were perfect for a mushroom harvest!

I found many Boletes and some Lactarius and a large amount of Amanita.  The Lactarius and Boletes were fantastic.  I fried the Lactarius in some oil with onions and garlic and served it over some elk tenderloin.  I also cooked up some in just butter.  I see why they are closely related to candy caps!  Very good and sweet.

The Boletes I dried in the sun and added into some barley.  They were very good.  I have some more to add to some sauces at home.

I saw many new species I am working on identifying.  I have been photographing and bringing home numerous mushrooms to hopefully identify at home and research some more about them.  I also dug some wild onion, biscuit root and blue camas.  It was a foragers heaven!  Here are some pictures:

Slippery Jack Boletes

Lactarius Deliciosus

Amanita Pantherina

Coltricia Perennis

Tricholoma?

Possibly Tricholoma Focale?
