Just get a Wheeleze cart instead. It 's  a lifesaver when facing hundreds of yards of sand. After the first Elk tourney I saw the light. Go to any NCKA event and look at what all the OG's are using. No sense trying to reinvent the wheel. Congrats on the sweet yak. You will love the dark side.

Did you get the mini or the bigger one? I got the mini, haven't wheeled it around yet except for in the living room, it seems ok..but wondering if I should have gone bigger.

extend the upright by slipping some tubing of some sort over it, or a wood dowel inside of it or something so that they extend past the top of the scupper.
thanks for the info.. i get what your saying now...
everyone has a preference on size... i like my yak like my girl, small, compact but got great features, hahahaha

I had the two man outfitter, too heavy for me to lift on the car by my self. We kept it on the family for qhen we have friends out. Next I picked up two sports loved them, but a little small for me at 240lbs. Wife loved the sports . Next I picked up a 2011 outback it is my last boat. I bass fish weekly out of it and love the stability, room. The Wife likes to paddle sometimes so we changed her boat out to the bigger revolution. The revolution is a nice boat but I like the stability of the outback, and the layout better on the outback.

We have started ocean fishing and I am still very happy. I picked up sails, fun but don't use much, sailing rudder is great, turbo Finns a must. I have my fish finder on the left easy reach, and a Scotty Rod mount on the right. When we ocean fish I use a create and put a leash on anything I want to keep. Have fun with your new boat.
I spend most days behind a desk so I find fishing a great way to end the day!
