I have been reading through the forums and I am wondering if it would be a good idea to have a playday at a place like Bodega Bay to have a killer BBQ / trials day. Kayak handling and such.
It's my feeling that some of us noobs could benefit from just playing in the waves with our yaks under the watchful eyes and tutellage of our seasoned members.

That would be awesome. My buddy and I have been wanting to get out there and learn how to handle our hobies in the waves!

I would love that! I would be happy to offer my services as an instructor in trade for food and beer :) I think we could all use some non fishing time in the kayak in order to better understand how to handle our boats.
