Just curious Piski, how did you get you and your stuff off of the beach?

I always wonder about things like that. So often we take things like packing up our gear for granted.

some other guy on the beach helped him get his stuff out of the surf zone then he used the phone a friend lifeline..didn't become a millionaire though!

Dealing with all that stuff kept my mind occupied and probably helped distract me from pain. Directing non-yakkers how to load your kayak and strap it down can be challenging, especially while one of your legs is just dangling below the knee.

I was also kind of obsessed with not letting the crabs go to waste--I made friends cook 'em up that night so they wouldn't spoil.
