Its time for the oppression and prejudice against inflatables to end!  We should be free to post fishing stories, go to NCKA events, event get married if we want to!

I look forward to seeing the inflatable at future hookups/events/tournaments!!!

You never know...you could win a tourney and get a brand new fancy kayak!

Stranger things have happened...in fact...legend has it that once upon a time a rookie in a tiny little yellow boat that people laughed at managed to somehow win a beautiful new T15 with a modest stringer and a ton of luck.

What counts is your experience and your safety.  Have fun.

A buddy and I used an inflatable two person Sevylor DiveYak for a couple seasons - 9' long, 34" wide and 28 pounds with 600# of flotation.

We dove for Abs and fished from it, waves just rolled under it, no yard sales. Paranoia struck tho at more than a 1/2 mile offshore or when boating a big Ling . . .

Here is a single model with features listed:
Malibu X-Factor

holy s*#&, thought i was gonna get the stink eye from everyone.  thanks for all the love.  first forum that made me feel welcome.

the thing serves my purpose.  cheap, stable, and portable.  i knew i didn't want any racks on the car.  i don't have anywhere to store a hard 'yak at home anyway.  bought the thing used for 165.  i think i "investigated" about 300 in the whole setup, if that.  it says 650 lb of flotation on this one.  pretty skeptical, but its what it says

punctured 2 times.  funny thing, i caught a 6 lb striper on the delta, was netting it and it was a little too heavy for me at that angle and lost control of the thing trying to get more leverage and punched the hole in the right tube.  i was a good mile or so away from the launch point and got back more safe than i thought i was going to be.   :smt001  it had so much air left i thing i coulda fished for another hour before i went in.  i got better with the netting technique after that incident.

was mapping my "ventures" today and i actually went for almost 5 miles around the delta yesterday.  pretty efficient if no wind.  not a lot of wind yesterday or fish, just lots of paddling.  tiki lagun, whiskey slough, etc.  fun day.  thanks for reading.
