While waiting out the wind on a shore break at Shasta yesterday, I suggested to Ben and Tim that we should try to get all the Slayers together for a weekend O-niter fish n chill. :smt004 Was thinking either Whiskeytown or Shasta but open to other lakes. At Whiskeytown it would be Oak bottom CG. Shasta has many options, but we were thinking a more remote area (not Jones Valley or Centimudi) Ben suggested Lakehead area, Tim suggested Hirz Bay. I'm thinking we should do it before it gets too rageing hot, and before schools out and the lake gets crowded with skiers, houseboats, etc. :smt002 Maybe early-mid April, so not to interfere with Salmon Slam (end of April) or GS6 (mid May). Wives,girlfriends,kids welcome of course :smt001 Also if any of you Sac, Bay Area, Humboldt brothers want to make the drive and fish new waters the more the merrier :smt003 What do you think brother Slayers? I'm in how about my birthday weekend of march 30th? I'll go talk to the rangers tommarow and see if we can get one of the group sites at WT. maybe the whiskey creek camp ground. I heard the Kokanee like to hang out around the 299 bridge this time of the year.
