I love the Revo and hope you will too! To me I think "joining the darkside" would be abandoning the kayak for a powerboat. I still feel the whole "I'm in a kayak experience" pedaling around in my Hobie just the same way I did in my previous paddle only kayaks. Enjoy your new ride with pride.  :smt001

Congratulations James. I'm also a new Revo owner ( bought Chadrock/Kayakjack's Revo at Crabfest-good to see you there). I'm rigging her with upfront Scotty flush mounts, Humminbird 385 on a Ram mount and some sort of milkcrate for the rear well and a QRAS. Thanks to all who posted Revo rigging tips, especially G-whiz and Tote.
I'm stoked about this new fishing machine, but I can already see I'm going to miss the Rodpod and larger rear well on my T13. Where am I supposed to store the big halibut, ling or WSB? Any suggestions from other Revo owners?
Hope to see you out ther soon, Jim

Nice boat.  Is that the Revo 11?  I really like the handles on the side, but they don't put them on the Revo 13.

Nice Revo!

I never suffered from "Hobie Guilt" because I didn't know any better.

Just saw that mirage drive and fell in love. The trolling aspect alone was enough for me to buy a Hobie.

Maybe a support group can meet each Tuesday!   :smt005

Spray on liner?  How much weight do you think that is that going to add?

My fiance picked up a red 2012 Revo this past weekend.  We're taking them both out tomorrow in search of some tasty greenling.  I really like the changes in the 2012.  The handles feel REALLY nice when I'm moving it around and make it super easy to flip over for the garage / car racks.  Kinda wish I would have paid full price for a 2012 instead of getting the 2011 at a discount, but the 2011 is still pretty awesome.

Weight is not even a consideration the spray can weighs 2 pounds it will prolly add less than a pound to the total weight of the yak.

It's not the weight but the resistance, and are there any adverse affects to the hull ?
Remember to practice safe knots, because big fish don't just break your line, they also break your heart.

Not sure about adverse effects to the hull but believe me I'm doing my research first. As far as resistance I don't think there will be much added
