I think the all time best Mushroom dish out there has got to be Jager Schnitzel. A breaded fried pork cutlet with a ton of mushrooms in brown gravy served with french fries.

Steak with morel Demiglaze 1/2 cup finely diced morel mushrooms 1 cup sodium free/unsalted Beef broth 1 finely shallot 1/2 cup port Starch Fresh off the grill steaks, cooked to preference
Reduce Port & beef broth by 50 %, add dice shallot & diced Morels, simmer for 15 minutes, add starch to thicken to a gravey thickness, Plate Steaks and pour demi glaze over the steaks.
This was made by my friends after we found some morels and it was amazing, I cooked up some Elk steaks and this was one of the 5 best meals I have ever had maybe THE BEST, and I have had dozens of meals at 5 star restraunts. His GF tried one bite and said OH MY GOD THIS IS AMAZING
Now I just have to suceed at growning some morels.... im trying right now, have a mash going in a mason jar on my kitchen sink.... or wait untill i can find some more next year :smt010 :smt010 :smt010

Last year I backpacked into Big Sur with a frozen whole chicken wrapped in tinfoil in the pack. When I got to the camp(secret spot) There was a tree down next to the river, LOADED with oysters,must have been 30lbs minimum. I stuffed the chicken with the mushrooms added a little salt and pepper,stuffed it in the coals about 1 hour. Out came the best flavored chicken and mushrooms i have ever tasted! Maybe because I was camping(everything tastes better outdoors) But if you ever get the chance it's really good and really easy to prepare. Just a tip...
