The Berryessa Salmon Slam begun last year 4/2/2011 @ Markley Cove, when two diehard kokanee fisherman turned there passion for inland salmon fishing into a friendly, Fun for All event. And a huge success it was! Many of are brothers and sisters from NCKA and not, attended this first of its kind event and many smiles, good times, and memories where made. Since then, many have seen how beautiful, rich, majestic, and plentiful Lake Berryessa can be. And on a comeback it is. The lake currently has 5 newly operated resorts, some still under construction, that offer everything from boat launching to simple day use, to tent and Rv camping. http://lakeberryessashores.com/This years event will be held @ Lupine Shores @ Berryessa(formally steele canyon resort).

Since Berryessa offers such a great diverse fishery, I've decided to make this years Event even more interesting. This years Event will include 6 species of fish that will count towards weigh in: Kokanee, King Salmon, Trout, Bass, Panfish, and Catfish. The Tourny will be based on the AOTY system, but with slightly different point ratings. Keep in mind, the primary focused is still on salmon as you will see it has the higher point rating, but adding other species just makes this years tourny that much more funner and enjoyable for everybody and with this system it could be anybody's win.
Kokanee-10pts per in.
King Salmon-8pts per in.
Trout- 7.5pts per in.
Panfish-12.5pts per in.
Catfish-6pts per in.
Bass-5.5pts per in.

Only 1 fish per species can and will only be counted towards your total number of points. All DFG rules/regs. apply. Fish must be brought in for measurement or taken a photo of on accurate measuring device. Catch and release is preferred but not mandatory. In case of a tie, winner(s) will be decided upon a coin toss. Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.Live Bait will be allowed and is ok to use for this event!

All the proceeds will be used towards more prizes and the BBQ.

* There will be a seperate prize awarded for largest Bass caught.  :smt007
