- team competition top three placques will be attached each year to the perpetual Trophy Trough that stays in my possession

That's cool, sorta like the Stanley Cup!  :smt007

Bummed I won't be attending.  Maybe one of these years the opener won't be on Mother's Day weekend.  :smt010

Awesome Eric!!!

Also guys remember your Salmon regs while on the water if you troll in the morning and hook into some salmon there is no switching to rockfish with your traditional gear(swimbaits, irons) everything if not trolling must be Circle hooks once you have a salmon on the yak. So keep that in your mind when your planning your attack.

Hope everyone is planning to have some tight lines. I know I will next week at this time. Im stuck at work on a 120hr shift and when I get off I am packing and getting my stuff loaded and going to try and jet down. Should be heading out of South Eureka by 3pm at the latest Friday. Locked and loaded. Gear will be tied ready for a dusk troll wx permitting.

The long range swell forcast on some of the swell sites is looking great.

This is getting serious - up past 2 last night and here I am again.  I'm having way too much fun with this.   :smt006   :smt003

Anyway, here are pics of the team plaque and some extremely gratuitous Shelter Cove salmon dinner shots from tonight.    :smt001

Looks good.  I ate salmon last night from the Columbia river.  Hopefully thats the last salmon I pay for this year.  It was damn good though.

Butter, garlic, chives and cilantro - could've used just a touch of lemon.   :smt001

Check it out - I haven't ever really looked at Stormsurf's wind forecast...  I figure that tempting fate by putting faith in a swell forecast is bad enough.  Superstitious fisherman...

Wind is forecast to be up and raspy Thursday, but Saturday's looking like a mill pond!!!   :smt007

Busy family day today and I've gotta commit myself to sleeping for a few nights.   :smt003  Keep prepping and planning - there's some damn serious fishing, partying and love gonna go down.   :smt001

And the weather forcast is still holding at 64 degrees and sunny, light winds.  Mill pond water on tourney day, clear and warm skies...keep those prayers coming guys!  I'm off to Sportsmans Warehouse to drop a few hundred bucks!  :smt001

I scored a bunch of killer tackle from an oldtimer fisherman up here who is moving out of state.  Custom flies, ling jigs, custom mudrakers, rigged Large B2 squids, etc all for $26.  Would have cost around $200 in stores.

I'm going for sure on Monday to try and get my pink meat for the smoker as well as doing some halibut recon.
