Passing along some information regarding the Auburn CHP Fish Derby.  We (Adventure Sports) are one of the sponsors for the derby and all the proceedsare donated go to local charities and it should be a lot of fun.

There is a $130 registration fee that includes:
*2 1/2 days of fishing
*Dinners (Burgers, hot dogs, BBQ chicken, BBQ steak) and all the fixins and unlimited drinks.
*Souvenir hat and other entry bag prizes.
You will need to make your own reservations and pay for your own campsite.

It is a three day derby, check in is on Sunday the 12th, and the fishing begins on Monday the 13th and continues on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Check in and weigh ins are  at Stampede Reservoir in Truckee, and you can fish any body of water in a 20 mile radius of Truckee.  Fishing categories are Kokanee, Brown, Rainbow, and Mackinaw.  There will be power boats in the tourney but kayakers are welcome.

Fishing starts at dawn each morning and weigh-ins are from 12 - 4:30 on Mon & Tues, ans no later than 12 on Wed.  Food will be served after the weigh-ins are over.

This is a great event that benefits local charities and is put on by the Auburn CHP.  As of today there are still over 100 campsites available, at $21.82 a night.  For reservations call 877-444-6777, ask for the "Logger Campground"  For more info visit  www.auburnareafishderby.com
