I have been invited to fish for giant squid tomorrow on Chris's fishing trips. Best part, it's totally free, rod, reel and jigs included. The local news station is doing a special report and will be filming it. Just show up about 6am and load up.They want a full boat.
Hope to see some NCKA folks there, should be fun! Bring the usual stuff, sandwiches, snacks ect.maybe something to bring the catch home in like trash bags, the are big and messy.

I saw it on channel 6 ksbw at 11 last night, lead story. It's not that there is giant squid, it's that it was FREE at Chris's charter boat in Monterey.Don't know if it will air again, sorry for the late post, I got the information late.

Only 60 squids for a full boat and 8 hours of fishing?  Must be a slow day  :smt003

Normally $65 but this trip was FREE due to the special promotion for the "Check Mate".
