Had a lot of fun today at Aquan's event.  Great turnout on a beautiful day.  Good to see Marv, and to meet Marilyn.  Marv’s pimped out boat drew a lot of curious onlookers.

Me OTW, major thumbs up it was a blast.  So many yaks and SUP out there having fun, it was like bumper boats.

Mooch OTW directing traffic.  The couple at his 3 oclock were coming in at full ramming speed.

Down on the deck relating to the groms and newbs.

Mooch did a great job insuring people had a good time and were safe.  Saw a couple people go in the drink, including one guy who really bought it in a SIK.  Mooch was johnny on the spot helping the guy.

And if anyone was wondering, what the Captain’s been up to since he parted ways with Tenille, he now lives in Foster City and has taken up SUP!!  Muskrat Love, baby! Hahaha.  This guy rocked it.

I showed up late and it was too windy for Omar and I to paddle but we had a lot of fun watching everyone on the water.

Mooch, great job in keeping everyone from crashing into each other...I think I'm going to post you and your SUP on 101 on weekday mornings to be sure that things keep moving smoothly for my commute to Foster City from Mountain View.

I was eyeing those Airis inflatable kayaks.  They look pretty interesting but they're a bit pricey.  It's probably been asked before but does anyone have any experience with them as diving platforms?

I was there on Saturday representing NCKA Mooch got me a nice corner spot next to the food. I could not believe how many people stop by to chat it was non-stop all day; I don’t think I have talked that much in my whole life. At times it was like at a car show where groups of guy and gals hanging around checking out the custom car pretty cool. I had a great time just talking to people about fishing nice why to spend a afternoon.

Those suckers did look cool.  I would love to see a side by side comparison and test drive the Hobie inflatable vs teh Airis

MANY THANKS to Pat R. and Marv / Shicken for spreading NCKA love :smt008 Definitley lot's of inquiring minds especially with the pimped-up kayaks on display :smt002

Thanks also to Howard / Hojoman for helping out at the event! Nice to see some familiar NCKA faces in the crowd as well!

Martin, thanks posting pics

Had my hands full the entire weekend:

*prepping for the event - early Saturday morning
*doing water rescues from the SUP (amazing how much more rescues I did from the SUP compared to the water rescue crew on kayaks :smt002)
*volunteered to take kids out on the tandem kayaks (some parents were too busy - or simply too lazy to paddle their kids around)
* Saturday night: parked my man-van at the site and played security guard
*Sunday - more water rescues and finally the clean-up

Very tired but would do it all over again :smt007

Regarding the Airis Inflatable kayaks....I did not get to test paddle any of 'em coz I was too busy but if there's enough interest, I can talk to the rep and see if we can hold of a couple of their models....

Cool... Looks like I missed out on some fun.  Too bad it coincided with the rockfish opener.  I'd like to be there for the next Aquanfest.
