*Reached a solution*
*Thank you all for your caring support*

Sadly, my landlady lost most of everything to fire.
On Saturday we tended to the herd once more and sold 10 of 13 cows to 101 Livestock auction
Their pasture above Coastways Ranch is burnt along with the water system
We have 1 going to be processed in a few days which was our original intention for that particular animal but 2 bull calves remain and can no longer keep them there and have no other place for them.
We have an animal trailer and truck for transport.
PM me for any other info

Sorry for your lost. It's burning everywhere I even got an evacuation warning myself.
Anyway, I know nothing about cow.
I intend to buy if it makes sense.
What does it take to process the cow? What's the weight of each one?

Thanks,
Chet

Prolly weigh in at 600-800 lbs each.
I helped process one once and it was too large of task for us and our resources.

There’s always mobile butchers you can call and ask.  Or  have the cow taken care of on-site and truck it to the butcher.

I understand, however, we can only deal with the meat from one at a time.  Ideally these two need another year to grow.  I'm hoping there is someone here with those resources.  I would not be offended if these animals went straight to the butcher, but we cannot deal with them all.

...I even got an evacuation warning myself...

Just curious how you got an evacuation warning (whatever that might mean) if you live in Santa Clara.
Please don't spoil my day, I'm miles away...

Not in Santa Clara anymore. I just have not updated my location.

Man I wish I could buy it. I butcher a couple pigs myself and that's a lot of work. They were in 100lb range.
600-800lb will be over my head.
