Title: NorCal HOW 3rd 2018 Event - Friday, April 20, 2018 at Lake Berryessa/Steele Cany

Hello All, 

The NorCal HOW team has gathered and decided that our third event for 2018 will be hosted at Steele Canyon Resort/Lake Berryessa on FRIDAY, April 20, 2018.  We plan to try and accommodate approximately 20 vets that day. We will be needing some volunteers to take veterans out on the water as well as some to help with shore duty tasks such as carrying kayaks, prepping and cooking food, ensuring vets are rigged up safely with PFDs and rods, etc.

Few rules:
1. No Alcohol allowed at HOW Events
2. Please take pictures of the vets, but ask them if they're OK with it first.  Some are not willing to have their picture taken, but those that are usually really appreciate the pictures.

If you think you can help join us, please post in this thread.  If you know of any veterans or active duty military that may want to attend, contact Raydon.  We'll also post up the event details on our FB page at www.facebook.com/NorCalHOW.  Please follow this thread for updates on what we need from you guys as to timing of showing up, cleaning up, etc.

Hi all, just checking in as this is our next event.

If you have not emailed us for attendance, please send an email to Raydon or post up on this thread.  We understand that these friday events are a bit more difficult to get time off work, but this is the best day that we have.

Hi Ben,
The title said third HOW event but your first post said second event (copied and pasted?).  Sorry I can't take that.Friday off due to training.

Thanks Moo, see you there.  Bring your yak and join us on the water.  Should be a smaller event than the past couple so we hope to get more fishing done.

I'm in to volunteer and take out vets (not confident in one of those tandems though) and help early am in anyway I can. What time are they letting us in?

I'll plan to be there between 7 and 7:30 am. Can't stay all day but I should be there til early afternoon.

Any pictures? I didn’t know about this but this is definitely the type of event I would attend 1000 times. God bless our veterans and all United States arm forces branches of military. I have a soft spot for anyone that would put their life’s on the line to keep my freedom. I have no words to express how much that means to me.

I'm guessing they are caught up in the MBF on Saturday and the tournament on Sunday. Patience my friends!  :smt006
